An independent movement, governed openly.
Children of World Peace Initiative is a non-profit association being founded in Denmark. It is open to schools, individuals and organisations in every country, and it works independently of party-political and religious interests.
Two phases, one movement
- Phase 1 · The Initiative (2026–2028)A member-based association that builds the movement: Peace Schools, the Children's Council, political anchoring and an application for UN consultative status.
- Phase 2 · The Foundation (from 2028)Children of World Peace Foundation is established alongside the association to secure long-term funding and independence. The association continues as the movement.
How we are governed
- General assembly — the highest authority, open to all members and held online so every country can take part.
- Board — 5 to 9 members elected for two years, unpaid, and never self-appointing.
- Children's Council — children aged 8–17 who make proposals and must be consulted. The board answers their recommendations in writing.
- Open to all faiths and none — public, independent and faith-based schools are equally welcome. We respect every child's freedom of thought, conscience and religion (UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, art. 14).
- Free membership — activities are funded through fundraising, donations and grants. Participation is free for children and schools.
- Transparency — audited annual accounts and reports will be published here.
The statutes will be published here after the founding general assembly.
Child safeguarding
Responsibility for children's protection and well-being always lies with adults. Every activity, partner, employee and volunteer will follow our child safeguarding policy, which is currently in draft for adoption by the board.
- We never publish children's full names or personal data.
- Photos and video are shared only with consent.
- Children from conflict areas take part anonymously and in a safe setting.
- Concerns can always be raised directly with the board.

Help us build the movement
- Volunteer — translation, communication, design, teaching materials or school outreach.
- Partner with us — organisations, networks and foundations that share our values.
- Share the movement — tell a school or a political leader you know about Children of World Peace.
Financial donations
Children of World Peace will be funded through fundraising, grants and donations, so that participation stays free for every child and school. We will open for donations once the association is founded and our fundraising is formally registered.
