Seek: a peace conversation
Sit in a circle and ask: What does peace mean to us? What makes peace difficult — here and in the world? Let every child be heard.
The UN International Day of Peace on 21 September is the annual event day of Children of World Peace. On this day, all Peace Schools mark their participation — and every activity lights up on the world map.
Choose one activity or combine several. What matters is that children talk about peace, act on it and share it with the world.
Sit in a circle and ask: What does peace mean to us? What makes peace difficult — here and in the world? Let every child be heard.
Write letters, record a video or make art for a partner Peace School in another country. Ask them how they live and what they hope for.
Decide on one concrete action for peace in your school or community — and invite a local political leader to hear about it.
Tell us what your school did, and we will add it to the world map. Share photos only with consent, and never with children's full names.
The first Children of World Peace Peace Day, where Peace Schools in many countries will mark the day together — and where children's first answers to the question "What would it take for every child to live in peace?" are gathered for the Peace Goals.
