Peace begins with the youngest.
Kindergartens and early childhood settings are warmly welcome in Children of World Peace. Through play, songs and drawings, children aged 3–6 practise friendship, kindness, sharing and making up — together with children around the world.
Be among the first Peace Kindergartens. Including the youngest children is something we are actively working towards. The first kindergartens to join help us shape the material — your experience and ideas are very welcome.
Peace in everyday life together
For young children, peace is not about wars or politics. It is about friendship, kindness and care, sharing and taking turns, saying sorry and making up, understanding feelings — and knowing that we can be different and still play together.
Playful ideas for the whole year
- How does peace look? — Drawings and collages of “a good day with my friends” for a small Peace Exhibition.
- The peace circle — Circle time with a “peace teddy”: the child holding it speaks, the others listen.
- A visit for peace — A visit from the kindergarten leader, a mayor or a grandparent — with one simple question.
- Friendship pictures across borders — Drawings and handprints for a partner kindergarten in another country.
- Our peace song — A song about friendship, recorded as sound only or with hands and drawings.
- Our peace rules — Three to five simple rules the group agrees on and draws together.

A short and joyful morning: a welcome in the circle, the peace song, the Peace Exhibition, greetings from the partner kindergarten and a kind act for someone.
Keeping the youngest children safe
- We share drawings, handprints and songs — never names.
- Children's faces are only shown outside the kindergarten with parents' written consent.
- All contact with partner kindergartens goes through the adults.
- Video calls take place in the kindergarten, with adults present, and are not recorded.
